Q: How does this work?
After initial tool database upload, you will see a breakdown of the tools in your tool library (Drills, Endmills, Taps, etc) and also the amount of supported tools that will be converted in the Fusion output file. If you are satisfied with the results, click 'Run Conversion' and your file will be converted! A download link will be provided within seconds for your new Fusion tool library!
Q: What file types are supported?
At the moment only .TOOLDB from MasterCAM is fully supported. Esprit and others coming soon!
Q: Is there a size limit?
Maximum file size is 25MB. If you have a larger file, please reach out to us at support@tool-converter.com for us to try manually converting for you.
Q: Are my files secure?
We use AWS EC2 servers for processing and S3 buckets for file storage, with encryption at rest and in transit. We purge/delete all uploaded ToolDB files daily to ensure your data remains secure.
Q: How do I import the converted library into Fusion?
1: Unzip your downloaded_library.zip
2: In Fusion → Manufacturing → Tool Library
3: Right Click → Import Libraries
4: Select file type: Fusion Tool Library (.json)
5: Select your downloaded tool library .json
from your unzipped location
6: Press Open
